WEBSITE TERMS

Terms and Conditions

These terms govern use of The Formative Path website, its educational content, mentorship information, books, resources, forms, and direct book and eBook sales.

Last updated: 24 July 2026.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the website. Additional terms shown at checkout, on an application form, or in a service agreement may also apply.

2. About this website

The Formative Path is the personal platform of Chukwuemeka Benjamin Eke, operated from the Netherlands. It provides books, articles, reflective resources, mentorship information, speaking information, and related educational content.

3. Educational and formative purpose

Website content is provided for general education, reflection, Christian spiritual formation, behavioural insight, and personal development. It is not medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial, or other regulated professional advice and should not replace qualified care.

4. Mentorship boundaries

Mentorship is developmental and educational. It is not psychotherapy, counselling, crisis intervention, pastoral emergency care, or clinical treatment. Applying does not guarantee acceptance. Scope, timing, fees, cancellation arrangements, confidentiality boundaries, and responsibilities will be agreed separately before mentorship begins.

If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental-health emergency, contact emergency services or an appropriate qualified professional in your location.

5. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the text, branding, graphics, book material, downloadable resources, frameworks, and original website content belong to Chukwuemeka Benjamin Eke and/or The Formative Path. You may use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes. Protected content may not be reproduced, sold, distributed, modified, translated, or republished without written permission, except where applicable law permits.

6. Digital content and licences

Ebooks and digital resources are normally licensed for the purchaser’s personal use only. Purchased files must not be shared, resold, publicly posted, or distributed through file-sharing services unless the product page expressly permits it. Group, church, classroom, organisational, resale, or commercial use requires separate written permission.

7. Orders, payment, and delivery

Paperback orders placed on this website are processed through WooCommerce. Customer payments are handled by the payment methods displayed at checkout, including PayPal where available. Lulu Direct receives the information required to print and ship eligible paperback orders. eBook purchases are completed through Payhip, which provides secure payment and digital delivery under its own checkout terms and privacy policy.

The total price, applicable taxes, shipping charge, essential product characteristics, delivery method, and any digital-format or licence restrictions will be displayed before purchase. An order may be declined or cancelled where payment is not authorised, information is materially incorrect, a product is unavailable, or fraud or misuse is reasonably suspected.

8. Cancellation, returns, and withdrawal rights

Consumers purchasing physical books online generally have a statutory 14-day withdrawal period beginning the day after delivery, subject to applicable exceptions. To exercise this right, use the Cancel or return an order page or contact us with a clear statement before the period expires. Returned goods should be sent back within 14 days after notice of withdrawal. Unless otherwise stated or the product is defective, the customer bears the direct return cost. Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable law.

For eBooks or other digital content supplied immediately, the customer may be asked to expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that the withdrawal right is lost once downloading or access begins, where the law permits. Payhip’s checkout and delivery process also applies to Payhip purchases. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights.

9. Acceptable use

You must not break the law, infringe another person’s rights, transmit harmful code, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with website operation, scrape or systematically copy protected content, impersonate another person, or submit abusive, deceptive, or unlawful material.

10. Forms and communications

Information submitted through contact or mentorship forms should be accurate. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive, medical, or crisis information through general forms. Personal information is handled according to the Privacy Policy.

11. External links

The website may link to third-party retailers, payment services, social platforms, or other websites. These services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. A link does not imply control of or responsibility for third-party content.

12. Availability and accuracy

Reasonable care is taken to keep information accurate, but uninterrupted access and complete freedom from errors cannot be guaranteed. Content may be corrected, updated, moved, suspended, or withdrawn.

13. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Formative Path is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from reliance on general educational content or interruptions outside its reasonable control. Nothing excludes liability, remedies, guarantees, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Consumers retain the protection of mandatory consumer laws applicable in their country of residence. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts, subject to mandatory consumer-jurisdiction rules.

15. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated when the website, services, or legal requirements change. The current version and revision date will be displayed on this page. Changes do not remove rights arising from an already completed purchase or agreement.

16. Contact

Questions may be sent to contact@theformativepath.com or through the Contact page.
